BACKGROUND
Media Producer & Educator
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Marist College and a Master of Arts in Electronic Media Production from Central Michigan University. In 2016, I earned a Doctorate of Education in Leadership College of Education at Valdosta State University. In 2020, I worked as an interim training specialist to help prepare faculty to teach in multiple modalities include hybrid, hy-flex, and online to maintain safe social distancing measures in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, I was asked to serve as the Interim Quality Enhancement Plan Coordinator for Valdosta State University to implement the new Quality Enhancement Plan after receiving tenure and promotion earlier that year.
I am passionate about teaching and have worked in higher education for the past twelve years. I have taught courses in Audio Production, College Pedagogy, Electronic Field Production, Emerging Media, International Media, Media Aesthetics, Media Research, Performance Communication, Television Studio Production, and Sports Video Production. I have also taught courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels while working in higher education.
